Sad news was received today that Wayne Rogerson passed away on Wednesday 5 July 2023. A private ceremony has been held.
An immensely talented preparer and racer, Wayne will be remembered for his fiercely competitive nature, in more recent times campaigning his Mazda RX2 (pictured below with his great friend and business associated, Alan Mayne).
Wayne and Alan were well known for their race car preparation.
Wayne was a long term member of HTCA NSW and was a multiple winner of many historic touring car awards.
Wayne had relocated a few years ago from Bowral in Southern Highlands to Lake Gardens, a suburb of Ballarat. While his relocation was a welcome move for Wayne and his family, he encountered health issues not long after he moved and his racing appearances slowly diminished. Wayne still kept an interest in Historic Touring Cars, often spectating and offering his wise counsel with eligibility matters.
We have lost an irreplaceable identity. RIP Wayne.
